Mad Robot Photog

This year I vow to set some time aside for myself and attempt to spend some effort with photography. Therefore, I have decided to post at least one picture each week for the year of 2014.

"Phipps Plaza - Christmas setting"

While onsite in Atlanta, I managed to snap this photo in Phipps Plaza.

(Technically, this was 2013.. but since I decided to start this 52-2014 effort a little bit late, I am OK with it).

Its funny; I do not like to carry a set of car keys in my pocket. However, digging into my pockets can reveal many different items.

I wanted the scene to be as the title states. I was shooting for a warmer more nostalgic look.

I once sketched out an idea for a drawing (see here) that reminded me of this scene as I was driving to work the other morning. I had to pull over and snap a shot.

I walk this corridor every workday. On this particular day, the shadows caught my eye.

People nearby wondered if I was crazy.. I guess photographers often get that.

The (Pace) 'Waffle House' is by far the best Waffle House around!

I love my Bacon, egg and cheese on toast sandwich (with an extra side of bacon)!

I was walking from here to there and then there it was.. a wicked tree.

Wanting to reach out and grasp any passerby. Fortunately for me it was bright and sunny, and I noticed the tree before getting to close.

2014-week 21.

"Columns and stairs"

It was almost like Deja Vu, but not exactly.

This seemed somehow familiar but different.

It wasn't until later that while looking through my old drawings that I realized why it seemed familiar.

Yes, I know it isn't the same.. and there isn't a TV monster (watching all) at the top of the stairs.. but this is the thing that I was trying to link together.
